Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 3, 2026 · App: Tripiece (iOS)

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tripiece (the "App") handles information when you use it. Tripiece is a personal travel-mapping app for iOS that lets you place photos onto regional maps of Thailand and Vietnam. We are committed to keeping your data on your device whenever possible and being transparent about the limited cases where third-party services are involved.

2. Information You Provide

The App stores the following information locally on your device only, using iOS local storage. None of it is transmitted to any server we operate:

We do not operate any backend server, do not have user accounts, and do not collect or store any of the above information off-device.

3. Photo Library Access

The App requests permission to access your photo library so you can select photos to place on your maps and to save generated share images back to your library. The App reads only the photos you explicitly select and does not scan your library otherwise. Selected photos are stored only as references on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party SDKs. These services may collect data subject to their own privacy policies:

ServicePurposeData Handled
Google AdMob Display banner advertisements (free users only) Advertising identifier (with your consent via App Tracking Transparency), device information, ad interaction data, approximate location derived from IP
RevenueCat Process in-app purchases (premium upgrade) Anonymous user ID, purchase history, subscription status, device platform
Apple App Store / StoreKit Process payments and receipts Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

Premium users do not see ads; for premium users the AdMob SDK is not invoked. Privacy policies for these services are available at their respective websites (Google: policies.google.com/privacy, RevenueCat: revenuecat.com/privacy, Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy/).

5. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On first launch we present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, which asks for your permission to allow tracking across other apps and websites for advertising. If you decline, AdMob will only serve non-personalized ads, and no advertising identifier (IDFA) will be associated with your activity in the App.

6. Information We Do Not Collect

7. Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the App or use the in-app "Delete all data" function in the Settings screen. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Data held by Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and Apple is retained according to their own policies.

8. International Transfers

Data processed by Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and Apple may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Each provider implements its own safeguards as described in their privacy policies.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can address the matter.

10. Your Rights

Because the App stores your content locally, you can access, modify, or delete it at any time directly within the App. For data held by third-party services, please contact them directly to exercise rights such as access, deletion, or restriction provided by laws like the GDPR (EU) or CCPA (California).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above will be updated to reflect the latest version. Material changes will also be communicated via the App Store update description.
